We're pleased to announce that Cemgate now stocks heavy-duty concrete interlocking blocks — sometimes known as "Lego blocks" thanks to their stackable, self-locating design. They're quickly becoming one of our most requested products for site security and temporary structures.
What Are Interlocking Blocks?
Concrete interlocking blocks are large precast units, typically 800kg or more, engineered with a lug-and-recess design so they stack securely without mortar or fixings. They can be installed and reconfigured quickly using standard site machinery, making them a flexible alternative to traditional walling.
Common Uses
- Temporary and permanent retaining walls
- Secure storage bays for aggregates, waste, or materials
- Site boundary and security barriers
- Blast walls and protective barriers on industrial sites
- Sound and sight screening around construction sites
Why Contractors Choose Them
Unlike poured or blockwork walls, interlocking blocks require no curing time and no specialist trades to install — a machine and a competent operator is all that's needed. They can also be relocated and reused across multiple projects, making them a cost-effective option for temporary works.
If you're planning a project that could benefit from interlocking blocks, get in touch with our team to discuss quantities, delivery, and site access requirements.
