Concrete Volume Calculator
Calculate exactly how much concrete or screed you need for your project. Don't worry if you're slightly off—our volumetric trucks mix on site, so you only pay for what you use.
This unit applies to all measurements, including depth.
How to Measure Accurately
Choose metres, centimetres, millimetres, feet, or inches in the calculator. The selected unit applies to every measurement, and the result is converted to cubic metres. Check the depth in several places, especially if the ground is uneven, and use the average or maximum depth.
- Slabs & DrivewaysMeasure maximum length and width. Ensure your sub-base is compacted and level to avoid unexpected depth variations.
- Trench FootingsTrenches are rarely perfectly uniform. Measure the total length of all trenches, then take the average width and depth.
Why we include 10% wastage
Groundworks are rarely perfect. A trench wall might collapse slightly, a sub-base might settle, or forms might bow under the weight of wet concrete. Adding a 10% allowance ensures you don't run short at the end of the pour. Remember: with Cemgate's volumetric mixers, if you order 3m³ but only use 2.8m³, you only pay for 2.8m³.
